They Used to Call Me the Big Dipper

I have a really cute I Love Lucy sign in my dorm room. It has a scene from the episode where Ethel and Lucy get a job in a Chocolate factory. In the show she says "They used to call me the big dipper" ... Hence my title! The sign makes my desk much prettier. So... I moved into the dorms for the third time on Saturday. I can't believe this is my third year of college and my third year in Trowbridge hall. Can you all believe how old we are? Ugh! Heck... We got people turning 21 now! My roomie is 21 and getting married... Susan is going to be 21 soon. Some of us will be graduating in a couple of years and starting the long years of full time work. Time just goes by much to quickly. Today I start classes at 9:25. I begin with my Mental and Emotional health class. A timely class, since the beginning of the school year can always be a bit trying. I think most of my classes should be decent... or at least I hope so. I am also working and tutoring this semester, which makes me a little nervous. I really hope it isn't too much for me to handle. I don't have any evenings free because of work or volunteering at the humane society. I think after a couple of weeks I may have to ask to have fewer hours working. I hope my boss is understanding if I choose to do that. I hope my week and yours goes well! I especially hope Mara's week goes better than the last! Sounded like a week from hell to me! Driving in cities traffic and having the hood of your car pop up while driving does not sound like a fun thing to me. I would probably refuse to drive again... or at least for a few weeks.

Ha! So far, this week has much better than last. Although, I haven't been to class yet. We'll see how that goes, but I imagine it'd be pretty hard to beat near death experiences in automobiles.

Do you know, of all the I Love Lucy episodes I have seen (a pretty fair number) I have never actually caught that episode. Which is a little ridiculous because any time anybody mentions I Love Lucy they're all, remember that episode with the chocolates? And I have to be like, yeah...but it's really a lie.

We are getting old! :O Y'all are juniors, us kids are moving out, people are getting married...it's a little disconcerting that in about three months I'll be old enough to grab a beer out of the cooler at family reunions. I don't know if I want to do that, though. I think that would really freak the daylights out of everybody. It's not a good idea to freak the daylights out of the elderly, as a general rule.

Betsi, you are in luck! I own the second season of I love Lucy and that has the "Chocolate" episode on it :) We must watch it some time... and I must watch the show with Hugh Laurie on it! You and Mara should come home some weekend and take Lizard with you and then we should watch these very important TV shows :)
