Guten Morgen! It has been a very busy weekend. On Saturday my Aunt, Uncle, and cousin Megan came to visit me. We went out to eat at this cheap but really tasty restaurant, and I had this mushroom and onion omelet. Mmmm... Mmmm good. Then we went to Barnes and Noble for a while and I checked out the cookbooks, which is the best section in the store :c) After that I met up with Kristi and some other clarinets and we played cards. I learned a new game called pogo. It was pretty fun but it made me dizzy. After that we ordered a pizza and watched a movie in the other Kristi's (clarinet) room. We watched 13 Going On 30 which was ok... kind of dumb though. Oh yeah... and on Sat. night they had free mocktails that were really good. There were to flavors... Strawberry Strippers and Safe Sex on the Beach. How dorky is that?!?! Well... on Sunday I went to church in the morning at 11:15, and it was suprisingly fun. Much more energetic than at home. After that I went to lunch with Kristi J. and this link crew meeting for freshman. That was a little cheesy but my mentor is really nice and is going to give tours of campus today to help us find all our classes. Kristi went home after that so I did stuff with my roomy and some other people I met at the link crew thing. The food isn't that great... especially if your vegetarian but what can you do. We played games afterwards and watched movies... and then at 8 I went back and chatted with my mom and watched a little TV and read. Today my cousin from LaCresent is visiting and we are going to do something and I have a picnic at 11:30 with a neighboring dorm. It should be a good day. Tomorrow classes start so wish me luck :c) Have a great Labor Day!

Well, SOME of us had school on labor day (me), but thanks for the thought. =)
I heard that the services here also get kinda wild. They are called "The Gathering" and are every Sunday at 8pm. I've heard about standing on the benches, lots of clapping, etc. I didn't go because I was having a movie night, but sometime I'll try it. It gets super hot in the chapel though.
It's great that you are making friends and having fun! I think this college thing could be really fun... except during classes. Speaking of, I have homework to be doing.
