Exciting News

I had a pretty good spring break last week. Didn't do too much out of the ordinary. On Monday I went to Treasure Island with my mom and Grandma for the day. We took the bus, which included only people over the age of 90 except for my mom and I. It was super hot on it too, which I believe is because old people can regulate their internal temperature as well, so the bus drive hiked the heat up. We got there and got in line for free pull-tabs, which I made a whole dollar on!! hahaha Then we went to the buffet, which was super good. I ate a lot of shrimp, and I did feel guilty while doing it. They are sooo good though! My mom and I stuck together and played on a one machine basically the whole time and I didn't lose... or win. But to those casino goers out there that is basically winning in the end :)

Other than that the only other exciting thing I did was make dinner for my Mom and Chelsi's birthday. I had planned on doing it earlier in February, but it was cancelled because of one of the big snow storms. We had a lovely evening with glazed salmon and a delicious cheesecake :) Sadly we never got to play any games, but hopefully the next time we get together we can whip out Apples to Apples or some kind of card game. I think playing games is most definitely my favorite thing to do. Oh Oh... or Rummikub!! I love that game :)

I guess the last bit of news is that YES... I am going to Ireland this June! Woohoo! For awhile it was going back and forth whether we had enough people and other conflicts, but now I can say that I feel 100% sure that I will be flying off to the beautiful Emerald Isle! On top of that great news, I also was informed over break that I got my job back at Mayo even though I will be asking for an entire month off! They must have really liked to me still consider me knowing that I would be gone for all of June! Makes me very happy! Only bad thing is I will have very little free time to hand out with folks who make it back to Rochester for the summer. But I still hope to make it for the annual camping trip for bean hole days!

The weather is beautiful here, so I think I will go bask in the warmth... but lack of sunshine. Have a great weekend!
