Attempt Number Two

Yesterday I spent a good chunk of my morning updating this thing, and then when I am finally finished it disappeared. So here I go again... I doubt it will have the same tone and enthusiasm, but I blame that on the dumb computer.

I don't think I have been completely fair with how I portray the patients I serve. Most of the time they are very patient, sincere, and very thankful. Yesterday a really cute woman brought me a couple cookies from the hotel she was staying at. I had helped her earlier in the week to get in earlier than she was scheduled... and luckily I had the same luck yesterday getting her in early. She whipped out the photos of her grandchildren and insisted I looked just like one of her 17 year old grandkids. Last week we were able to get a man in early too, and his family the following day brought Becky and I a giftcard to Caribou Coffee. Getting a simple thank you or being told you are a really sweat girl is just as rewarding too. So, like I said, most of the time patients really are wonderful and thoughtful. Just a few "bad eggs" out there.

Last weekend I was a busy little beaver! Friday night I attempted to help my aunt setup her computer and connect it to the internet. Always thought I was good with computers, but I was wrong. I had no luck what so ever in getting that blasted thing to connect wirelessly. Let me know if you guys have any crazy computer skills that I am not aware of. I could use the help :)

Saturday my Aunt Jennifer took the girl cousins up to MOA for out annual before school shopping extravaganza. I didn't find much, only a shirt, but I had lots of fun. The best part of the whole trip was the ride up. Listening to some good tunes and chatting :)

Sunday I sprayed insecticide around the house, which was really exciting! Not so much actually. I had goggles and clothing up to yingyang, so I wouldn't spray the stuff on me. It was so hot that day, so it wasn't very pleasant. I also went to my cousins to watch a movie... The 40 Year Old Virgin. I didn't appreciate the humor very much. Not that great of a movie.

This weekend I will be pretty busy too. Tonight I am baking a pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting for a birthday party I am going to tomorrow in the the afternoon. My dad's side of the family is getting together to celebrate all of the August birthdays, which account for like half the people on that side. Otherwise the rest are all in October... including the other side of the family and everyone else on God's green earth.

Sunday I am going to a Honker's baseball game because my uncle won a box seat where they serve Outback food! There is going to be cheesecake!!! I am so pumped for the CHEESECAKE! The one time I will splurge for some cheese. Otherwise you all know what it does to me ;)

Next week is the week of friends returning home :) Laura comes back to visit on the 10th!! I really hope I will have some free time to do stuff with her. And... Chelsi is finally coming home for good. Her dad is flying out on the 9th to help drive her stuff back. She is also bringing her boyfriend Joe back with her. I think they are going to stay at her parents house until they can find a house of their own. I am so excited to have her back. :)

Clothes up to the yingyang? I don't even know what that means, you crazy lady. Also, if the computer you set up is a PC you probably need to buy a wireless card thing, so that the computer can get the internet. That's all I know, and it's not much.

I wish my customers would bribe ME with food and gift cards. Uh, I mean, thank me. Whatever. ;)

I am excited to see people too. =) Yay Laura! Yay Chelsi!
