Getting sooooooo Close to the Finish Line
The sun hangs up in the sky looking down on me laughing. Why??? Because I am stuck indoors all the time working on dumb ol' final stuff. And then, just to spite me, Mr. Sunny boy hides behind the clouds all weekend, when I was home ready to bask in his beauty. Oh well, glad I decided to not go into meteorology... people are always angry with the forecast! This weekend I had a fun time at home. My cousins Jana and Angie had their birthdays in the last couple of weeks, so we threw little birthday party for them. I made a delicious cake for the occasion on Friday. Completely homemade. Exquisite in flavor and texture :) I must tell a cute story that led up to this cake baking expedition. I needed some ingredients for the cake, so I went to the local Cub Foods store for some yogurt, milk, eggs, etc. When I was standing at the cashier line there was a little boy (not really little though... maybe 13 or 14 years old). In his hands he was holding 2 pink candles, a pink bag, and a pink card. The cashier woman had been having a rough time from the previous customer, but instantly had a smile on her face when she saw the young boy. She asked him who the gifts were for and he answered that they were for him Mom... a Mother's Day gift!! :) The cashier and I squealed with delight and giggled. It was so cute!! We both told him how sweet he was and he looked pretty embarrassed, but I am telling you it made my day. To think a little boy would go out on his own and buy his mom a gift with his own money. Most kids just have their dad get the gift and card and maybe sign their name. Like I said, it was just so darn sweet :) After that I went home to make the cake as a very optimistic and happy gal. Today I give 2 speeches... my last presentations of the year!!n Yippy! If I get through this day all I have to worry about are my finals. I'm not very worried about those either. I got a job at Kohl's for this summer if any of you are interested. You should all come and visit me... Apparently I will be working at "the point of sales", in other words I will be a cashier. And, I also got a job for next semester on campus. I will be working at the Sub Shop building your personalized sub sandwich! Woohoo! :) Phil (my roommates fiance), is always complaining about how they don't ever put enough meat on and the vegetables are always clumped together, so hopefully I will be able to improve the customer's "overall sub eating experience"! HAHAHA Other than that... no much else new around here. Only 10 more days until I get to go home for the summer. It is amazing how fast time flies. I think I will be both happy and sad to leave. Of course, having to no longer worry about tests and papers will be great, but I will definitely miss my friends, especially since quite a few of the ones that currently live in the dorm will be leaving next year, and I still be hanging in the dorms. But I have Sara so everything will be fine I am sure. Good luck on all your finals exams and see you in the near future!

And isn't it nice that we all found a Sara(h) to cling to at our new schools?
I like Sara(h)s.
