Martha is BACK!!!

All you Martha fans out there... I proud to announce that Martha Stewart is back on the air :) Today I watched her day time show for the first time, and I must say it was outstanding! Now she has a live show with guests, and it was surprised me how relaxed and friendly she was. On her other show whenever she had guests she seemed very cold, but maybe her prison experience made her a little more of a people person :) Anyway, I was so excited to see her again, and I will be a loyal viewer I am sure!

Today I learned about the vertebral column and ribs! The anatomy of the body is really pretty cool, though the idea of looking at a cadavar still really scares me. After my recent fainting episode the idea of a dead person makes me all the more nervous of fainting. I always think of the idea of fainting onto the cadavar.... ewww... makes me shudder just thinking about it. We haven't actually looked at it yet, but I will let you all know how it goes.

This weekend the band is playing in the Oktoberfest parade and at a football game... Saturday is going to be crazy! The weather looks like it will be really nice though, so at least it won't be a miserable experience. I have a feeling are games later on in the season will be pretty cold. I remember some games from last year that were unbearable! At Mayo we wouldn't have had to play because the temperature was too cold but apparently there are no rules here :( Oh well.

Trying to get a car sometime in the near future. My mom agrees with me, which will make the whole ordeal a little easier. I really want to get a car with good gas milage so if any of you car owners have suggestions let me know. I figure it is about time I get a car so I can get a decent job next semester, and for sure next summer.

Well, other than that... not much new. Miss you all!

You should read Stiff by Mary Roach. Maybe it will change the (horrified) way you look at cadavers.

You get to work with cadavers? I'm jealous! No fainting, though, because I said so.

so i know a hybrid is not realistic for a college student to be able to buy...so a small car like a honda civic would be good--i've heard they actually get around 40 mpg on the highway
